stpetre Posted May 4, 2015 Share Posted May 4, 2015 If you were a kid around 11 years old say 1959-60 and lived in St. Charles St/Oakes Green area. which secondary school (as they were known then) would you attend? as Coleridge Road or Burngreave seem too far away. oap64 Posted May 5, 2015 Share Posted May 5, 2015 If you didn't pass your 11 plus you went mostly to either Hartley Brook or Hatfield House Lane schools, if you passed your exam you went to Fifth Park Grammer or Owler Lane.
