ricoblade
From the UK government's website https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/spain/entry-requirements Passport validity Your passport should be valid for the proposed duration of your stay; you don’t need any additional period of validity on your passport beyond this. This applies to the whole of Spain, including the Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands (Majorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera).

I stand corrected then .i might be thinking of when I go to Russia that there needs to be a length of validity
Bargepole23
I stand corrected then .i might be thinking of when I go to Russia that there needs to be a length of validity There needs to be time remaining on your passport for most countries, but not those within the EU. Cyclone
For many outside the EU 6 months is recommended.
