smiggs
So Sheffield Star have a definite Labour bias and because they are printed media this is acceptable? I for one will be boycotting the Star, don't think I will be missing much? Johnston Press really ought to try and introduce more neutral reporting, because at the moment I have absolutely no respect or trust in local media reporting. Let's spin that around, why do you have a problem with someone expressing their opinion in print?
-Boomer-
If you don't like it stick to reading the Daily Mail which sounds much more down your street

Johnston Press really ought to try and introduce more neutral reporting, because at the moment I have absolutely no respect or trust in local media reporting. I have memories of a certain local newspaper whose proprietor was told by council leaders that should articles not favourable to the ruling party be published in the newspapers that all advertising for public sector jobs would be withdrawn from said publications, along with the revenue stream for such adverts. woodmally
To be honest I dont read the Sheffield Star. I get all my Sheffield news on here. It will soon go bust as an irrelevant newspaper anyhow.
MickyA
Yep, absolutely. As it happens though, they won't have a chance of major influence, because the new and latest left-stance is that Murdoch caused Tory to win. I do find it very amusing how all the lefties out there complain about the influence that Murdock holds over the the media when in fact most of the newspapers and all of the TV channels are so far over to the left that it's laughable. The BBC and radio Sheffield are prime examples
Guest busdriver1
Every newspaper has a political bias one way or another. Why single out the star?
