Children late for class

Recommended Posts

I agree that schools need to get tough on parents that persistently fail to get their kids into school on time, but a fine of 60 quid is too much and will adversely affect some of the most disadvantaged parents around.

I don't like the idea of fines either, but then what do you suggest?

As I say, schools will generally bend over backwards to help a parent having problems, if the parent will only let the school know.

But otherwise, how do you 'get tough' with parents'?
