geared
You would have thought they'd know how much money to ask for before starting negotiations :hihi::hihi: So the strike is now back off again??
SYorksDeano
I for one am glad that the strike is off. I'have quite a fair bit of travelling to do and didn't fancy going by coach
El Cid
remind us again who privatised the railways: Network Rail is privatized, in all but name. So a Government organisation will be getting an above inflation pay rise. Just wait until the next public sector union is wanting a pay rise, is this Network Rail pay rise the bench mark for everyone else?

I wouldnt be surprised if the brothers and sisters of the union will refuse and ask for more money.

Maybe they'll sneakily re-privatise it and hope no-one notices :hihi:
Jeffrey Shaw
its been suspended pending a vote. This seems to happen quite a lot!
mancmart
Nope the unions took the offer to their members and they voted no they wanted more money. Its off again now. So who knows weather the greedy folk will say no again and ask for more. It's nothing to do with greed or more money. They wanted a payrise to keep up with inflation, not a one off payment. If more unions fought for their members then the country may be a better place for workers to live
El Cid
They wanted a payrise to keep up with inflation I thought that we now had deflation, so they should be taking a pay cut
