We are currently taking demos from potential bands, the only catch being they must have a minimum 2 students studying at Sheffield Uni, so if this doesn’t apply we are sorry. There will be 2 heats on Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th May in the Raynor Lounge, Sheffield Union, which is a wicked little venue and all bands who get this far will receive some free goodies from Jack Daniels, no one goes away empty handed! The 2 best bands from each heat will progress to the final on Monday 15th May in the Foundry where each band will receive a special gift from Uncle Jack as a thank you for playing, check the website or posters about town for more details! So far the winners will receive free demo recording/studio time courtesy of our friends at Mosaic Studios, we are waiting to confirm details of further prizes but that’s not a bad deal already! On top of this the finalists will get to grace the same stage as Franz Ferdinand, The Killers, Arctic Monkeys, Long Blondes, The Darkness and Thin Lizzy too name but a famous few!
