Super Hans
Hi, thank you in advance. I think I need a word for that awkward time between 1:30pm and 3pm when if you don't eat soon it's going to be kinda too late to eat lunch without pushing back dinner to some crazy time like 7-8pm. Cause I'm always finding myself in this situation and I feel I need a word for it, thanks.

PeteMorris
How about 'snatch'...that's a cross between a snatched meal (which at that time of day it usually is) and lunch.

Apologies if I'm wrong, but I think that word's already been invented Pete. Quite a lot of meanings too!

Lots of words have different meanings....I mean where does the Yorkshire term 'snap' (meaning break-time food in a factory or wherever) come from?
