Jillybabes
I am a cleaner and £10 an hour is really good for a private house, where I work at a school I get £6.86 an hour, not enough for what we have to do, very physical. I used to clean at a private house and got £8.00 and hour.

Becky B
I'd have to spend too much time tidying up before the cleaner came!
pintsized
I'd have to spend too much time tidying up before the cleaner came! I thought that too! But I refrained as I thought it defeated the object abit
poppet2
That sounds very Tory of you. Aren't you a labour supporter? I support no one political party, but I do wish our political system of voting was more democratic.
scousemouse
I have had several cleaners over the years, but only one cleaned like I do! Margaret Hackett, if you are out there......................!
taxman
My parents have a cleaner...not sure what cleaning she does but she also does dog feeding and stuff like that. If people are willing to pay and people are willing to receive then everyone's happy. Of course I'd expect everyone to declare their earning to HMRC etc etc etc blah blah
GLASGOWOODS
I'd have to spend too much time tidying up before the cleaner came! And me being clean as a whistle would have to throw lots of things around and make a mess, just so I get my monies worth.
ubermaus
They only get 8 quid. And be glad of it.
poppet2
Just heard that as from 1st June, all those that hire cleaner's and carer's will have to contribute to their employee's pension. HMRC are in the process of distributing letters now.
