Boston bomber sentenced to death

I didn't have to counter it, as has been pointed out by Phanerothyme, they're not mutually exclusive, I thought that would be obvious, otherwise I could have like you proposed non sensible propositions like you sitting at home eating Jaffa cakes while on a computer with a fridge full of food, and likely a dustbin with enough waste food to nourish a 3rd world starving child is morally wrong.

Maybe you're grandstanding for a 'Moral Bafta'.

But they are because it wouldn't be possible to provide everyone with everything that a mass murderer receives in prison, there just wouldn't be enough resources for the number of people in need. But if and when everyone in the world is receiving all they need to live a reasonably conferrable life then I will no longer have a problem with feeding mass murderers. Until that time it is immoral to give them more than the innocent receive.

From a moral perspective that only works if you're prepared to accept that you personally are equally guilty (morally) of the suffering of others by depriving the innocent of resources you consume beyond your means, in order simply to survive.

I do accept that the UK population of which I am a member consumes far more than our share of the worlds resources and that our consumption has negative consequences for other people around the world.
