littleweeeed
This has been puzzling me for hours, could it be that some of you have not read my question properly. Judging by some of the comments posted, it would seem so. Here for the sake of clarification is the situation. I have been watching and feeding a pair of Blue Tit's for the past 2 week's, they are nesting in a neighbours roof, (Not mine). The house is empty and belongs to an absentee landlord, (whom I do not know). Last week to my horror, scaffolding was erected, quickly followed by a roofing contractor, (whom I do not know). Lacking information, I turned to the S.F. expecting to find help and advice to prevent this disaster, But no. And some of the comments were upsetting and worrying. In the end I had to confront the roofer myself, I am not a young person so this was not easy, however, he agreed to postpone work until the birds have fledged . Thank you S.F. I think not. It's a pleasure to behold when the parents encourage them from the safety of their box.
