Katwalk Posted May 21, 2015 Share Posted May 21, 2015 Powers Martial Arts in Stannington is running a women's self-defence course this Sunday 24th May 12-2pm at the gym on Deer Park Way. It's a great afternoon course where women can learn basic techniques to prevent harm, understand how to improve personal safety and also how to disable a would-be attacker if the situation were to arise. I've attended the course personally and found it incredibly useful and it's definitely raised my awareness about the dangers and how dangerous situations can be avoided or managed properly. I don't work for the gym but just wanted to inform any women, young or old, who would feel it useful to learn basic techniques. You can like the gym on Facebook or call to book your place.
