SqueakyPete
Firstly, I don't find a news source that justifies my own view. I didn't post the link. I do watch Max on YouTube from time to time because he doesn't hold any punches and has an anti establishment stance, as do I. Maybe that's why he's funded by RT? It is Russian state funded propaganda after all. With regards to finding a suitable, trustworthy news source, I shop around. Mix it up. I even enjoy a bit of Fox News from time to time. Gotta have a laugh, haven't you? However, at the end of the day, I'm always going to favour a person that is willing to put their neck on the line and speak their mind. ---------- Post added 26-05-2015 at 10:40 ---------- Because he has ideas that you can't get your head around? All of the above are at the opposite end of the spectrum to Rupert Murdoch, who happens to own and control the majority of the western media. And you wonder why people feel the need to seek news from alternate sources, when that little evil imp is running the right wing press?! Can't get my head around? You are the one that can't get your head around the fact RT news is nothing more than a Moscow propaganda machine :hihi: Is our country corrupt? absolutely, but I wouldn't change it for Russia's oligarch system any time soon lol. I wouldn't even swap it for U.S.A's structure either, but then again, you show me a country where corruption doesn't exist, and I will show you a very naive and ill informed individual. Russian media might have worked a trick on people like yourself, but anyone that actually knows anything about journalism can clearly see it for what it is:loopy:

His grammar is pretty shocking but he's one of the smartest posters on this site. Don't think he struggles to get his head around anything certainly not translucent propaganda. L00b
RT used to be about level (-just) with the Brit red tops in the credibility stakes in relatively recent times, but lately their coverage of the Crimean and Ukraine crises has proven so far beyond contemptible as to remove any shred of journalistic integrity which they might still have had, for ever and more My own regular sources (not classed in order of preference) are the BBC, Le Monde, Le Nouvel Obs, Die Welt, The Guardian, Reuters and the Washington Post. These are plenty enough to cross-correlate any particular item of news and 'sieve' any and all bias. There's a few more, but much more ad hoc. E.g. Cryptome is good for raw, make-up-your-own-mind (low-grade) intelligence material, sans tinfoil hat. And, for the occasional s**ts and giggles, Liveleak is alright, provided that you approach it in the same way as Crytpome above (raw, make-up-your-own-mind footage, filter out any commentary/sources). Bigthumb
so we have to watch a russian tv channel featuring an american to tell us how bad the tories are? Oo That is probably because the British electorate voted for the Tories rather than the alternative. That particular fact seems to have escaped rather a lot around here. That particular fact seems to have escaped rather a lot around here. They never know when they are licked do they? Its all over, the Labour party and socialism is finished, they are the proverbial Norwegian Blue parrot. No sign of life. Bankrupt of ideas, bereft of talent. I feel a bit sorry for the activists, the true believers, conned by Blair and Brown, they allowed Mcloskey and his robber barons to foist a Wallace and Grommitt lookalike upon them and believed that the electorate would fall for it again. They are consigned to the dustbin of irrelevance.

I can't think of one completely reliable, unbiased source of mainstream media. I think you have to look for individuals who you trust. ---------- Post added 26-05-2015 at 16:42 ---------- That is probably because the British electorate voted for the Tories rather than the alternative. L00b
RT is as much as a reliable source as any other mainstream outlet.Come on now, Bonzo, you can't seriously consider ranking RT alongside Le Monde, The Guardian or the Washington Post in a discussion about journalism. That'd be like ranking Keith Lemon Leigh Francis alongside John Simpson, John Snow and Andrew Marr Edited May 26, 2015 by L00b
harvey19
[quote=Bonzo77; Actually, millions chose not to vote. And what did that achieve ? Why don't these millions take some responsibility and form a credible political party which supports their views and see what level of support it attracts.
