poppet2
So wanting a decent property and paying a rate that reflects their income is "snobby" now? What is "snobby"? Is it someone who doesn't want to live on a council estate? Is it someone who makes more money than you do? Would people be happy to get on the housing ladder if their only option was to live in Page Hall?
francypants
I'm neither young nor a professional but I still wouldn't live in certain areas. ( Sheffield 3, 4, 5, and 9 )

poppet2
................... a lot. Unfair, you shouldn't generalise. You are talking about a minority that you have allowed to cloud your judgement.

Onthetyne
So why do people turn their noses up at terrace houses?, Oh a young professional can not possibly live in a terraced house!!! Edited May 30, 2015 by Onthetyne
poppet2
How about S11. Is that ok with you? Another generalisation. it's a large area, lots of people live there, you can't generalise. Remember that program 'Benefits Street', a vast generalisation. The majority of people that lived on that street did work, but regardless the program tarred everyone with the same brush. tzijlstra
So why do people turn their noses up at terrace houses?, Oh a young professional can not possibly live in a terraced house!!! That is odd, because I know lots of young professionals living in terraced houses. Exactly what are you referring to?

They will once their first or second child comes along. Flats are fine when you are young and single, but children need a garden and plenty of space.
