Very slow broadband

The £60 charge is if the fault is within your property...

Locate the master telephone socket and carefully remove the faceplate :

http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/view-master.html

Plug the router into the socket behind the faceplate using only the white filter and cable supplied by Sky.

Test the filter by swapping it with another filter in you have one.

Speed still bad : leave it connected and ask Sky to send an engineer. The fault is on BT's side of the socket.

You won't get charged.

Speed better and connection stable : look on the back of the faceplate and carefully remove/bend-back any

wires connected EXCEPT those on contacts 2&5. Replace faceplate and plug filter/cable back into front of faceplate.

Speed should still be better/stable and no engineer visit required.
