JFKvsNixon
Apparently whoever flew the Vulcan's last flight may be in a spot of bother because it seems that they barrel rolled it! Footage here.
Nagel
I don't see any problem with that.
JFKvsNixon
After the recent hunter crash, the authorities are really strict on what is and isn't allowed.

I don't think it was the very last flight that the captain elected to do a barrel roll (allegedly)but a couple of flights previous its not even certain that this occurred until the authorities have reached their own conclusion but if and only if its true the pilot and the owners of the Vulcan will be in deep deep trouble. Just my take on it .
Treeman893
There are a few videos on the Vulcan to the Sky website including its last ever flight on the 28th Oct. There is a video on the facebook page of the Vulcan being escorted by the Red Arrows onto the Southport display, with views from inside the cockpit. With backing music of Land of Hope & Glory. glennpickard
The Vulcan is a big aircraft to be rolling, but has so much wing on it that it is probably very agile. In 1956 a Boeing pilot by the name of Tex Johnson barrel rolled (unauthorised) a Boeing 720B, the forerunner to the famous Boeing 707, 190 seat Long Range 4 engined jet. Crew only on board. Boeing's admonition was "Don't do it again." The roll itself probably is not the problem. Pilots will be pilots. No crowds, no passengers. Sometimes not everything is approved. Its done now and there is no down side. It shows how the Avro Vulcan aircraft was so well engineered and constructed. More kudos to the UK aerospace industry ! Must admit I was disappointed to see that RR had cut its support off.
Treeman893
The Vulcan was famous for it's 45degree climbing barrel roll in it's early days.
JFKvsNixon
I was watching the trailer for the new Star Wars movie, and I'm sure that the makers have managed to sneak a Vulcan into the action.
