medusa Posted June 7, 2015 Share Posted June 7, 2015 I think that the answer is to not give if you feel that you're being pressurised or emotionally blackmailed into supporting something that you're not happy with, or which you don't feel has enough clarity to be confident that your donations will be used for genuine aid rather than red tape or other more murky purposes. That shouldn't stop you from being able to donate to more local or smaller charities where it is a lot easier to check out how they work though.
