Timeh
Poor Charles. As politicians go i liked him. He seemed far more genuine than most and i really felt for him when he was battling the booze. RIP Charles. Best wishes at this time to his family and friends.
Jonny5
A top class MP, Liberal and politician. I've missed him since he took more of a back seat. The likes of Charles Kennedy don't come along often and he'll be sadly missed.
tinfoilhat
A politician with conviction. Not many of them about now.
janie48
This is worth a read, regardless what you think of the man: http://www.alastaircampbell.org/blog/2015/06/02/charles-kennedy-a-lovely-man-a-talented-politician-a-great-friend-with-a-shared-enemy/ I've heard several tributes today on the radio from people who knew him personally, but that is the best. A very sad loss. RIP.
Mister M
The tributes to him have been very generous and heartfelt - a measure of how much people warmed to him, and admired him for his big contributions to public life. RIP
metalman
Sad that he didn't get much of a retirement.
RonJeremy
Should we be singing and dancing like they did when Thatch died? I feel not, but then again, it wasn't right when the nasty party did it when she died.

SteveJ68
I saw Lembit Opik talking about Kennedy at lunch time and he said he was a very shy and empathetic man, "who self medicated with alchohol to deal with an abrasive and difficult world". He always struck me as a decent human being. RIP Edited June 2, 2015 by SteveJ68
cassity
Should we be singing and dancing like they did when Thatch died? I feel not, but then again, it wasn't right when the nasty party did it when she died. Kennedy had a soul, he was liked, Thatcher was barren, even if you liked what she did you could never say she was likable, unless you're a Tory rimmer. Anyway, I blame her for his death.
