Southey owl
Not really. You are just showing yourself up. Embarrassing really. Fully agree with sibon totally embarrassing, no need to compare, Blades are happy with Adkins as are the Owls with Gray . Both sets of fans should be looking towards having a good season . ukdobby
Well you can count me out... You're only as good as your last job..... !!!!!.... Just have to see how good he is on where the Blades finish next season . Adkins never entered oyr minds when Jones left, did well with Scunny though relegated them too, came to Southampton when their academy was blooming but still needs managing and did well, failed at Reading,if he fails Pearson or Worthington next. scargill
I think that the Adkins appointment today is a statement of intent from SUFC. Im amazed that we could manage to lure him. Couldn't help but think, how many Owls fans would like him as their manager, instead of Gray ? It cannot take much to lure someone who is and has been unemployed for some time, there have been loads of Management opportunities for Adkins but no club has taken him until now! GVOWL
Seems like ive obviously hit a nerve here. I just feel as though its a cracking appointment, and he is a manager who has achieved promotions, knows what it takes, has more experience and is a more a accomplished all round manager than Gray (although Gray hasn't done nothing wrong). Adkins also seems very ambitious Im delighted at the appointment. ---------- Post added 02-06-2015 at 22:40 ---------- He was also the manager who got Southampton promoted to the Premiership ! Gray ever achieved that ? Sounds like you're looking for a nerve to hit where there isn't one. I personally like SG and think he needs a chance to take us forward. O wouldn't swap him for adkins but i think he's a good appointment for you lot so it's about time
allwednesday
Strange question! I'm happy with SG you haven't scored any points with this thread. Edited June 3, 2015 by allwednesday
Jonny5
I'm not happy with SG (too negative at home) but wouldn't want Adkins either.
Gazza58
Excellent appointment for united ,totally understand why the blades fans are pleased, but why the hell bring Wednesday and SG into it , credit the blades for not joining in this pretty pointless thread and turning it into the usual childish discussion.End of the day, united are chuffed with the new manager and we are more than happy with the way things are going down at S6.
