carosio
Doesn't the pedal itself have a return-spring?
cassity
Doesn't the pedal itself have a return-spring? It may have but it could be on the lever at the gearbox, which may have dislodged when the cable snapped. Maybe.
cuttingedge
There should be a spring on the clutch pedal, which should return pedal with or without cable connected, the spring on the cable is only for adjusting the slack on the cable and clutch clearance. Lobos
Go to the clutch lever on the gearbox you should be able to see by the movement of the lever if it is engaged on the thrust bearing if it has become detached from the clutch thrust bearing it will be loose. sometimes the clutch bearing lever becomes detached from the bearing when the clutch cable brakes, also the gearbox clutch lever return spring can come off inside the gearbox you might have to remove the gearbox to be sure..there's quite a few things that can cause that problem.
