TheRocketMan
Yes. If you cant afford to fully support your children then you cant afford to get married. Marriage is a lifestyle choice. Benefits should not support lifestyle choices.....like smoking, tattoos, boob jobs, holidays....etc
Cyclone
Yes. If you cant afford to fully support your children then you cant afford to get married. Marriage is a lifestyle choice. And nobody ever got married and then lost their job... And of course many people are married and don't have or plan to have children. Marriage is cheap, and two people cost less living together than apart.

Are you saying that they shouldn't be allowed to get married?

poppet2
Those wanting asylum and all forms of immigration to the UK, should take place off our shores, to allow all administration to be done, prior to coming to the UK. This is the case in Australia. Maybe have an office in Scotland or the Falklands, where people could apply. All illegal immigrants that have over-stayed their visas in the UK, should be rounded up and sent home immediately. All tenants found sub-letting their council accommodation should lose the right to their flat, and return all rent charged to the sub tenant, back to the council. Cyclone
Scotland isn't exactly "off shore" :puzzled: Illegal immigrants, by definition, don't have current visa's. They might be overstaying as you imply, but they ARE sent home if they're caught.
