Your opinion will be the same, its will be based on what might happen or what you hope will happen.

Do you not think that the remaining members will be unhappy if we leave?

How will they react? If you do not know thats a little risky in my book.

we have an inkling as to how they would behave as far as trade is concerned and conditions to be met though don't we -

They are adults not children, they will accept our decision and work with use to make sure they continue to benefits by trading with us.

The answer is no, they could have traded with the EU without allowing EU immigration if they had wanted it that way.

Wrong, name a single country that is not in the EU but in the EFTA that isn't in the Schengen Area.

Wing and a prayer mate - they may very well want/need to trade but they may seek terms and conditions - you know how that works - said terms and conditions may not be as favourable as at present - thats what happens when your not a member of the club.

We don't know what the reaction will be - nor do you - I can follow the line of reasoning that they would wish to cause as little disturbance to the club but if one of your big (contributors) boys leaves there is a shortfall.

Its a monumental decision when were economically not exactly pulling up trees and we don't know what will happen if we get out.

Thats not relevant to the question asked, joining the Schengen Area is mater of choice and not being in it doesn't stop trade.

Everyone does know, Brexiters and Remainers: worst case scenario is things would continue as they are right now.

Are you being deliberately obtuse, one begins to wonder...?

Worst case scenario if we stay is far worse than it is now.

Germany has already had a shot across the bows by indicating that trade tariffs would be invoked on British exports to the continent.

The UK makes up 17.5% of the EU economy. The EU will bend over backwards by letting us have a free access to the EFTA will they? It will have to be free access because that is Vote Leave's only card they can play in saying that EU contributions can be spent on government services instead.

The EU will not collapse if trade is restricted with the UK. The UK can't win a trade war with the remaining EU countries because quite simply they have an economy that is 565% larger.

The European finance capital that is currently the LSE in London will not be the case post Brexit. Think it is a coincidence that the LSE - Frankfurt Exchange merger will have its headquarters in Germany?

Your strength of argumentation is really spoiling us :hihi:

Reading posts and typing replies with your head buried that far underground is some feat!

The we will impose trade tariffs on the goods they want to sell here.

The UK is the EU's largest trading partner, our trade deficit with them is around £70 billion.

No but it will lose 16% of its trade and most of that will be German loss.

London will remain one of the top financial centres of the world.
