Jeffrey Shaw
On the other hand, the longstanding relationship between salary levels and house-prices is wildly out of kilter. But back on topic...
truman
Nobody loses a house simply because interest rates rise (and there's no certitude that they will rise, either). In fact, a fall in house prices (one of the doom-mongers' forecasts) might be a good idea. That's the problem with "leave"..there's no certitude as to the landscape afterwards.. Crystal balls are a load of, er, crystals. Hence ignore both sides' guesses at the future.

LeMaquis
Nobody loses a house simply because interest rates rise....... What a completely stupid comment. Higher interest rates mean higher mortgage payments. It's undeniable that some people will not be able to afford increased payments and will default, meaning they could possibly lose their homes. But what do you expect from the solicitor who just a few months ago was on here saying it's ok for a building to be on fire.

Hence ignore both sides' guesses at the future.Doing that doesn't really leave Vote Leave with a whole load of campaigning material, now, does it? "Freed from the EU, we'll be this, we'll do that, we'll get this <snip - don't use your crystal ball> Freed from the EU, we'll...erm...eeh..." LeMaquis
Because I try not to make predictions! Given that you struggle with the past and present you're right to leave the future alone.
