GOLDEN OLDIE
What really should happen is that children should not be allowed out at lunchtime. Then we may not get the rubbish, chip papers, takeaway trays etc that we do on the pavements leading up to the school!!! Perhaps parents should have done their jobs and taught them about anti-social habits like dropping litter instead of worrying about school discipline. Hesther
I left school in 2000 and before then we had a 30 min lunch break. Start school 8.30am Morning break apx 10.30 for 15min 30 min lunch break (tiered for different year groups) Finish 2.40pm Plenty of after school clubs available for sport/revision. Chance to speak to teachers after lessons/break. But the increasing number of pupils relying on school buses home often can't access after school clubs.
