Well that depends upon how much credence your giving 'the law of the land'

 

If, your a taxpaying, public service using, voting, citizen of the united kingdom who watches tv broadcasts as they are aired. Then YES you DO need to buy a license.

 

If you are a UK citizen who doesn't watch 'live' broadcasts then NO, you don't.

 

If your not a UK citizen then that is really up to the contract you've got between you and your conscience as to whether people should be paid for their efforts..

why would I pay you?

you provide no service, no goods, no entertainment of a billable nature. Your advice is basically worthless, less than worthless to the uninitiated who would blindly follow it.

If you don't want to pay the tv licence, then don't but then don't use/own the tv that requires it, or be prepared to lie forevermore about using it.

It quite simple.
