Timeh
Im thinking of giving this a go. Im not happy with the finish on a few parts of the car so want to give it a good clean and polish but fancy seeing what using a clay bar will do for it. Apart from Halfrauds and the like, is there anywhere in Sheffield i can get it and who wont have my pants down? Thank you.

Timeh
Brilliant. Thanks for that ---------- Post added 23-06-2015 at 11:07 ---------- Quick question. The kits come with something called 'detailer' liquid. Is this just car soap?
Danny_Boy
I tend to buy all my car cleaning products online as it works out cheaper and the brands I like aren't stocked in the likes of Halfords. There's a car care specialist in Clowne that looks decent: http://www.rollupandshine.com/contact-us-2-w.asp Just a pre warning doing a full Clay detail on a car is bloody hard work haha. ---------- Post added 23-06-2015 at 12:01 ---------- Brilliant. Just seen your question detailer liquid is basically just lubricant to ease the clay along the paint work.

Cenobite
Clay bar just removes contaminants from the paintwork. It will be smoother but that's all. It was designed for removing overspray. You can also get a clay mitt from Halfords and just use soapy liquid with it. Not sure how good they are, I bought one but I have not used it yet. Reviews are pretty good. http://www.halfords.com/motoring-travel/cleaning-body-repair/detailing-products/farecla-g3-body-prep-clay-mitt
