Halibut
Paedophiles are given minor sentences (Rolf Harris for exapmle) and continue doing what they were when released, just a little more careful. In my opinion they should be given life sentences or executed. Deprived of every Human Right there is and treated like scum. Best thing to do is allow parents and family of the victim deal with them. These paedophiles get away too lightly in the UK. You don't understand much about what paedophilia is or how it works do you? Zamo
You don't understand much about what paedophilia is or how it works do you? Most of the perpetrators are not freaks of nature (as paedophiles are) but freaks of culture. Islamic culture really does has some rather nasty aspects and it is no wonder tolerance of it is fading fast.
redfox
You are most enthusiastic on the topic of religion. Can you explain please why the courts are so very clogged with non -islamic offenders ?

Give us the figures then. Maybe the Police/Social services don't turn a blind eye when it's your bog standard whitey.
glennpickard
Relative to the first question by Misty 8T, Rotherham has to learn from its past mistakes, same as all the other cities that have failed children in this regard. Skin colour is of no consequence, and apportioning blame does n't move anything forward. Parents, the Police and the Council have all had a part in the failures and need to do much better. Even the average Joe in the street who sees something that does n't look right, has to report the situation. Billboards with a confidential number to call ? If there are any solicitors looking in, what psychology training do paedophiles have to go through after conviction ? Are they the same as the general prison population in that they can be released early with good behavior ? What controls are put in place to keep track of them when they are released ? natjack
You are most enthusiastic on the topic of religion. Can you explain please why the courts are so very clogged with non -islamic offenders ? I think that the SYP have always pursued lone, usually white, child abusers. The difference seems to be that the pimps trafficking little girls all over the country to sell them to other nonces, and using them and abusing them in very violent ways, were also career criminals. Drugs, guns, etc. And they were in gangs. The main difference was that the police and social services, local councillors etc, knew what they were up to and overlooked it for years. Whether this was because they were Pakistani heritage, or because they were brown or because they were muslims, we don't really know. In spite of two high profile cases and and two, if not three, exhaustive reports into the situation. I don't think we will really know until we have those police and social services personnel and the councillors involved in the dock giving evidence under oath? ihpb
What gets me about all of this is the break between those that colluded in authority and those that stood up to the collusion. There has to be a distinction but still comes out as muddy water as the amount of people investigated is as minimal as the number of perpetrators being investigated.
