This comment is dragging things off thread. I could have chosen better words. Do you have any comments that will take the discussion forward?

 

. . . . err. I wouldn't pick Joe Stalin as a good example of a leftie leader. But, I can understand why others would.

If you want to swap brutal dictators there's plenty of candidates on both sides.

Let me if you don’t mind take one single bit of the original thread and see if any of you disagree and hopefully explain why

 

- do you disagree with: the BBC 15 years ago was more responsible and acted accordingly than the BBC of today

In other words: do you agree that the BBC today is more irresponsible and foolish than 15 years ago?

You suggested that the left was more understanding and compassionate... I just pointed out that that wasn't necessarily the case.... not dragging things off course at all...
