Halibut
There is a world of difference between being overly concerned about going to some places because of fear of what may imaginably happen and not going to some places because it would be stupid to go given the real level of danger for some people. Any white brit going to the middle east for a holiday is just plain stupid and it is pure selfish irresponsibility if you take children. . . ---------- Post added 07-07-2015 at 00:43 ---------- Changing the name does not change who they are, what they do, what they intend, or people's perception of those things. All changing names do is confuse some and distort the truth. Stop fussing about new names and get them wiped out. Like the BBC when an unexploded bomb from WWII is found they are no longer called german bombs that the Luftwaffe dropped it is never mentioned, now-a-days they are all Nazi bombs according to the bbc Perhaps the bbc would have us believe that we only fought against the nazis and no germans were involved at all. Yet we are also told that the majority of germans were not members of the nazi party. Young people in few years time will not even be any more aware of the events and politics of the two world wars than most people are in regard to the past wars between ourselves and the french. The battle of waterloo was according to some fought against napoleon not france.. so where did he get his army and his support from then. Most people know what or who islamic state or IS are and most people know that they are also called isis. Enough is enough I for one will not be calling them anything else. Making up names that the bbc or anyone else chooses to do is just the beginning of starting to hide the truth from future generations and is before we have even dealt with isis. . . The part I've emboldened is utter nonsense; you clearly don't understand the risks or deliberately choose to overinflate and exaggerate them. More than 6000 British people die abroad every year. The number of those deaths due to terrorist activity is a tiny proportion. You're wrong and you're fearmongering and it makes you look reactionary and foolish. Social services should step in at passport control and take their offspring into care.

cassity
Fool, we went in 1998 before the Arab Spring No smelly Muslims living in Tunisia in 98 then, and a couple of hundred yards away behind your hotel the area wasn't a dump with no locals scratching at your disdain? Odds are bassy, you've never ventured outside of SY..or Dronfield even.

Tommo68
So the uk gov has finally got round to doing something and told those on holiday in tunisia to come home. Why? Do we actually want any of these people back. Every single one of them being out of the country must help raise the national IQ as these people are beyond stupid. I hope those with children have them taken off them and that they on entering this country having left it for one that is known, or suspected, to have terrorists in it are subjected to full anti-terrorist, potential jehadi.. whatever type screening as potential nut job infiltrators. Then again as they should be having their passports revoked for going there in the first place should they not simply be refused entry into the uk. After all the uk is not the nearest country to tunisia in which they could be seeking asylum. . .

Talk about a grotesquely overinflated reaction; you come across like a true foaming at the mouth nutjob.
annaboros
As for Tunisia, I don't understand the mentality of someone who would holiday in a Muslim country in the current climate.
mumkin
Tommo 68 and Blaster Bate, posting comedy gold to platinum standard. Mind you, I can't make my mind up if their posts are on the wind-up or just plain stupid.
