Microsft software support - scam?

Haven't downloaded any software

This is the link I clicked:

http://www.micropcsupport.com/support/6017/microsoft-support.html

That website is a scam and has been for years.

Microsoft is ending development on Silverlight so I doubt you need it at all.

I figured this one out already :)

So how do I clear up the trojans on my computer? :help:

I clicked on the linked and never got any trojans.

I'd run Malwarebytes if I was you.

Have you tried going back using System Restore?

I'd personally wipe the drive and reinstall the OS and then make an image to save all this hasslein the future.

Not tried a System restore yet....

This guy from micro pc did show all the errors on the system - it's those I need to deal with!

What do you mean by make an image?

Just off the top, Solomon1, I would suggest getting the offending machine to someone who knows what they are doing, because, with respect, you don't - and it does sound as if some kind of remedial work is required.

Because I have used him, and know he knows what he's doing, I suggest MoZaLan off this forum.

This is his site: http://www.byteitltd.co.uk/

Those 'errors' are more than likely nothing to be concerned about, M$ records lots of little system hiccups as 'errors' or 'warnings', but they can be safely ignored.
