Am I still allowed to question climate change?

It would appear that those islands predicted to be sinking in the pacific (due to rising sea levels don't ya know) aren't actually sinking.

For years, people have warned that the smallest nations on the planet - island states that barely rise out of the ocean - face being wiped off the map by rising sea levels. Now the first analysis of the data broadly suggests the opposite: most have remained stable over the last 60 years, while some have even grown.

It is good that those islands are being preserved by sediment from coral reefs.

A shame the same cannot be said for New York, Virginia Beach, Miami, New Orleans, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Alexandria, Mumbai, Kolkata, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Ningbo, Shanghai, Tianjin, Osaka, Tokyo or Nagoya.

Contrary to the frantic warnings of Al Gore, Prince Charles, and the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), as well as countless news stories over the past decade, sea levels are not rising, said Professor Morner. According to the computer models of climate alarmists, Venice, Amsterdam, Mumbai, Bangaladesh, the Maldives, New York City, and other coastal areas supposedly are in danger of deluge. However, Dr. Morner points out that the scientific data, from actual on-site measurements, as well as satellite data, show that the predictions of the modelers are "utterly wrong." Morner, a world renowned physicist and geologist (and former IPCC member) who has traveled the world for decades measuring sea levels, conducted a recent study employing measurement data from 159 sites around the globe. The real-world data do not support the frightening scenarios of global doom and submerged coastal cities presented by the computer modelers.

Ohh dear, your article starts with a fraud:

Don Easterbrook, the retired geology professor who predicted that the world was headed for decades of global cooling at the recent Heartland climate sceptic conference, appears to have crudely faked one of the key graphs in his presentation in order to reduce modern temperatures and make historical climate look warmer than justified. Looking through Easterbrook’s slides, it seems he has taken a graph of Holocene temperature variations prepared by Global Warming Art (used at Wikipedia), and altered it to fraudulently bolster his case.

Ps Satellite altimetry proves Professor Morner wrong as my original article showed.

Maybe he should use his funding as an energy lobbyist to refine his dowsing rather than making a fool of himself on sea level rise?

Hmm, well if that's true it's now both sides that are fraudulently falsifying and manipulating data.

That is a very serious claim. Who are you referring to?

The only people that have consistently been exposed as frauds are climate change denialists.

Al Gore and a few others have made some mistakes, but nothing that would amount to fraud.

No not the person described by James Randi as a "pompous-assed "dowsing expert"" who's conclusions contradict the evidence from Satelite Altimetry and is a paid lobbiest for fossil fuel companies.

My reference was to the BBC report about sedimentation of micronesian islands so far having kept pace with rising sea levels, that I was responding to.

Here is the New Scientist report that the BBC article is based on:

http://www.newscientist.com/article/mg20627633.700-shapeshifting-islands-defy-sealevel-rise.html

and a section from it:

Paul Kench at the University of Auckland in New Zealand and Arthur Webb at the South Pacific Applied Geoscience Commission in Fiji used historical aerial photos and high-resolution satellite images to study changes in the land surface of 27 Pacific islands over the last 60 years. During that time, local sea levels have risen by 120 millimetres, or 2 millimetres per year on averag

The article Convert provided takes a rather different view to that of your dowser.

The article I've provided a link to shows just how parts of the earth have responded to climate change. There is nothing to indicate that future changes will cause anything like the damage the alarmists (warmists) would have us believe.

It also preety much says that future sea level rises can't be predicted.

...Calculating how fast sea levels will rise over the coming decades is uncertain science, and no one knows how fast the islands can grow...

I'd go a little further than the New Scientist and state that the whole 'science' of man made climate change, and even the climate are uncertain, and no one knows what will happen in the future...

Except Gordon Brown of course. What did he say in October 2009:-

We have 50 days left to save the World.

Well, like the British electorate, the World obviously doesn't listen to him.
