Am I still allowed to question climate change?

Are they all being paid by multinational oil companies? If yes, please give evidence for each.

That list is pathetically small, and it includes a great many people in barely related fields of study.

There's less than 50 people on it, and many of them are not climate scientists. It's even got Fred 'take money from Tobacco companies and say that secondhand smoke is not dangerous' Singer on it.

There are hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people who have enough science qualifications to get onto this list, less than 50 of them really is a pathetic turnout.

Could you link a few of those you consider to be unqualified to be on the list. I see some that could be considered influenced by oil companies, but most are meteorologists, botanists, mathematicians, earth scientists etc.

Also it does state on the page that it is an incomplete list and I have not said it is a list of all that oppose or question the climate change debate, its juts a list of some of them.

Take a look at this, then tell me what you think of them.

Where's Al Qaeda when you need them :hihi:

Where's objectivity when you need it?

Matters of science are rarely solved by insinuation and personal attack!

Regardless of who's paying for the conference and the socialising, it doesn't alter the science being discussed by those in attendance and the vast number of scientists who are not.

Let's look at what the Independent, and Dr David Viner (CRU) said about climate change.

...Sledges, snowmen, snowballs and the excitement of waking to find that the stuff has settled outside are all a rapidly diminishing part of Britain's culture, as warmer winters - which scientists are attributing to global climate change - produce not only fewer white Christmases, but fewer white Januaries and Februaries...

...Global warming, the heating of the atmosphere by increased amounts of industrial gases, is now accepted as a reality by the international community...

...However, the warming is so far manifesting itself more in winters which are less cold than in much hotter summers. According to Dr David Viner, a senior research scientist at the climatic research unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia, within a few years winter snowfall will become "a very rare and exciting event".

"Children just aren't going to know what snow is," he said...

...David Parker, at the Hadley Centre for Climate Prediction and Research in Berkshire, says ultimately, British children could have only virtual experience of snow. Via the internet, they might wonder at polar scenes - or eventually "feel" virtual cold...

So that's what the EXPERTS were predicting just 10 years ago.

The truth is the global climate is just too complex to predict, and that there is no causal link shown between man made CO2 and climate change.

I'm all for conserving our resources, but i'm fed up of the bull****, especially as it's even deeper than the 3ft of snow on my drive.

Matters of science are also not solved by consensus and political will.

They are solved by repeating experiments using raw (not adjusted / fudged) data.

A question, why if man made CO2 is so deadly to the future survival of the human race, are developing countries being allowed to emit it at an ever increasing rate?

Is their CO2 a different kind to ours?

Perhaps they should be made to eat yellow snow as a punishment.

Exactly! And the scientific data continues to mount.

"Robert Orr, UN under secretary general for planning, said the next Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report on global warming will be much worse than the last one." (22 Nov 2010)

No.

Do you conclude that a lack of political will and consensus on a way forward negates the scientific observations? That if nobody is doing anything that there's not a problem?

Human's are very reluctant to change.

"Faced with the choice between making changes

and proving there is no need to do so,

almost everyone gets busy on the proof. "

In the town I grew up in there was a fire in a supermarket. The fire alarm went off and nobody took it seriously. People didn't want to lose their place in the queue at the tills. It was a real fire and one woman lost her life because she didn't do anything until it was too late.

The alarm bells are ringing loud on global warming.

How long have we got to respond?

Where will we escape to?

BTW It's most likely not our generation who will suffer, but do we want to be the ones that destroyed our little oasis in a hostile universe?
