MrSmith
Yep the world has always warmed up and cooled down..it's a natural occurrence..at the moment we're just in an inter-glacial period..there have been warmer times with less CO2 in the atmosphere than now and colder times with more...the planet will survive... Yes it will, it’s just the people that will suffer.

convert
Looks like Richard Black over at the beeb has had a quick look at, at least, part of the IPCC AR5 report.... and it doesn't look good for the warmists / alarmists. "The IPCC draft, which has found its way into my possession, contains a lot more unknowns than knowns. When you get down to specifics, the academic consensus is far less certain. The draft gives even less succour to those seeking here a new mandate for urgent action on greenhouse gas emissions, declaring: "Uncertainty in the sign of projected changes in climate extremes over the coming two to three decades is relatively large because climate change signals are expected to be relatively small compared to natural climate variability". So, to paraphrase, they don't really 'know' anything. Time to stop funding the IPCC, and reverse all those green taxes we've suffered (CCL for one). convert
More skeletons in the BBC coverage of climate change:- BBC's Mr Climate Change accepted £15,000 in grants from university rocked by global warning scanda A senior BBC journalist accepted £15,000 in grants from the university at the heart of the ‘Climategate’ scandal – and later went on to cover the story without declaring an interest to viewers. Roger Harrabin, the BBC’s ‘environment analyst’, used the money from the University of East Anglia’s Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research to fund an ‘ad hoc’ partnership he ran with a friend. convert
More emails being 'Released':- http://tallbloke.wordpress.com/2011/11/22/breaking-news-foia-2011-has-arrived/ I find myself in the strange position of being very skeptical of the quality of all present reconstructions, yet sounding like a pro greenhouse zealot here! <2775> Jones: I too don’t see why the schemes should be symmetrical. The temperature ones certainly will not as we’re choosing the periods to show warming. <1219> Trenberth: Getting people we know and trust [into IPCC] is vital – hence my comment about the tornadoes group. <3205> Jones: We don’t really want the bull**** and optimistic stuff that Michael has written [...] We’ll have to cut out some of his stuff. <1485> Mann: the important thing is to make sure they’re loosing the PR battle. That’s what the site [Real Climate] is about.<2428> Ashton/co2.org: Having established scale and urgency, the political challenge is then to turn this from an argument about the cost of cutting emissions – bad politics – to one about the value of a stable climate – much better politics. [...] the most valuable thing to do is to tell the story about abrupt change as vividly as possible <3332> Kelly: <4443> Jones: Basic problem is that all models are wrong – not got enough middle and low level clouds. <4085> Jones: <2440> Jones: I’ve been told that IPCC is above national FOI Acts. One way to cover yourself and all those working in AR5 would be to delete all emails at the end of the process<2094> Briffa: UEA does not hold the very vast majority of mine [potentially FOIable emails] anyway which I copied onto private storage after the completion of the IPCC task. ... (Dodgy) Business as usual in the climate science community then. PS I had to include the one about realclimate' just for Wikicat
