El Cid
Not melting as fast as the IPCC thought though are they... Nor does the fact of melting in anyway indicate AGW, it would just show warming... (Although it could equally show reduced snowfall). Rising sea levels would indicate melting melting glaciers, or increaced precipitation.
Cyclone
The atmosphere can only hold a relatively small amount, so 'increased' precipitation couldn't really be a cause for rising sea levels, the water comes out of the sea in the first place. Is it not the case that sea levels have been rising since before the industrial revolution and have currently almost stopped?
El Cid
Is it not the case that sea levels have been rising since before the industrial revolution and have currently almost stopped? No, sea levels have been rising even tho we are said to have very little warming. http://climate.nasa.gov/key_indicators#seaLevel http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Recent_Sea_Level_Rise.png

An ice cube doesn't melt the instant it is taken out of the fridge and the larger it is the longer it will take to melt completely.

Perhaps you are saying that more ice is now 'out of the fridge'?

El Cid
Appears to have been rising for at least 8k years. It has obviously risen and fallen over many thousands of years. Records and research show that sea level has been steadily rising at a rate of 1 to 2.5 millimeters, with a rate of 3 millimeters since 1992. Lockjaw
I would like to hope so, but i'm not in denial about the predictions of thorough scientific research. Neither am I. The planet will be fine, though. Its after we've gone that the full impact of damage will be observed. And after we've gone - all of us - the planet will still be fine. Lockjaw
how do you know that then Rake ?? Because I'm not hampered by this arrogant misconception that the planet is here just for humans to live on. You a scientist ?? Nope. I'm pretty good at it, though. Oh, Hi Drone, by the way.
