Am I still allowed to question climate change?

Recommended Posts

Not melting as fast as the IPCC thought though are they...

Nor does the fact of melting in anyway indicate AGW, it would just show warming... (Although it could equally show reduced snowfall).

Rising sea levels would indicate melting melting glaciers, or increaced precipitation.

The atmosphere can only hold a relatively small amount, so 'increased' precipitation couldn't really be a cause for rising sea levels, the water comes out of the sea in the first place.

Is it not the case that sea levels have been rising since before the industrial revolution and have currently almost stopped?

No, sea levels have been rising even tho we are said to have very little warming.

Thats because ice still melts when the temperature is above zero even though its not getting warmer.

An ice cube doesn't melt the instant it is taken out of the fridge and the larger it is the longer it will take to melt completely.

This is 15 years of almost level temperatures.

Perhaps you are saying that more ice is now 'out of the fridge'?

Appears to have been rising for at least 8k years.

Oh, and that graph is in metres, not hundreths of a metre...

It has obviously risen and fallen over many thousands of years.

Records and research show that sea level has been steadily rising at a rate of 1 to 2.5 millimeters, with a rate of 3 millimeters since 1992.

I would like to hope so, but i'm not in denial about the predictions of thorough scientific research.

Neither am I. The planet will be fine, though.

Its after we've gone that the full impact of damage will be observed.

And after we've gone - all of us - the planet will still be fine.
