retep
I think most are waiting for negative effects of climate change on their own lives. Capitalism cannot be stopped, it cannot slow down either, because that gets called a recession, money makes the world go around. The struggling Great barrier reef and numerous other issues are not enough. Dont forget, many climate skeptics also voted for Donald Trump, many skeptics are not interested in facts. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2017/apr/12/great-barrier-reef-dead-coral-bleaching-recover Is it struggling? http://us.blastingnews.com/news/2017/04/widespread-claims-of-a-dead-great-barrier-reef-are-overblown-001620285.html

If we're all tired of experts and he's probably the smartest man on the planet then his opinion should be held in the least regard.

El Cid
https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2017/11/03/humans-blame-global-warming-massive-federal-government-report-says/829783001/ Climate change is real, it's here and we're the cause of it, according to the USA's most comprehensive climate science report ever produced. With the planet the warmest it's been in the history of modern civilization, the federal government said Friday that "it's extremely likely that human activities, especially emissions of greenhouse gases, are the dominant cause of the observed warming since the mid-20th century." The contents of the report contradict claims by President Trump and his administration that continually downplay human contribution to climate change and question the ability of scientists to predict its effects. "For the warming over the last century, there is no convincing alternative explanation supported by the extent of the observational evidence,” the report concluded.
