archaeobard
I used to get baby sat by Dame Joan Sutherland when I was a kid and my mother dragged me to Sydney Opera House when she had a performance (she was in the chorus) of an evening and there was no-one to look after me at home. I'd sit in the green room and Joanie would come down at interval and talk to me. I also met Gogh Whitlam (the PM of Oz who got sacked by the Queen) when he came to an archaeology lecture I was attending. Can't think of anyone else unless you count giving the 5 year old son of the Ruler of Ras al Khaimah a lesson on how to use a .22 rifle. Actually I shouldn't have done it, but one of the instructors was busy so they turned to me and said 'watch him, make sure he doesn't shoot anyone or his foot'.
