harvey19
Was there already a warrant out for the man's arrest for previous offences ? What did he say to the officers ? Was he suspected of being armed ? Was he suspected of being in possession of prohibited drugs ? Was he recorded as a violent offender ? Was he suspected of hiding drugs in his daughter's clothing ? Had he abducted the child ? Edited July 9, 2015 by harvey19

According to the US TV show the only 'charge' the police have said might be pending is for an unpaid fare.

Waldo
There were a lot of police present to arrest a fare dodger. A witness stated he had a ticket; and that his little girl was under 4, so didn't need a ticket herself. If he was being arrested for a more serious charge; why haven't the police mentioned this? Why did the police say, that as a result of this incident, they need to reconsider how they train officers?

I think the only training they need is to be less violent and aggressive, always looking to stamp on people and their rights and to not treat black people like second class citizens. ---------- Post added 09-07-2015 at 17:20 ---------- Was there already a warrant out for the man's arrest for previous offences ? cassity
According to the US TV show the only 'charge' the police have said might be pending is for an unpaid fare. As the reporter mentioned though..if at the extreme he dodged a fare, it does seem the response was OTT. I think the reporters were right..there does seem to be a breakdown in how law officials are unable to communicate and tend to go for the default action, which it seems is physical. As they said..'what happened to common sense'? There were enough officials there to manage a Sheffield derby. ---------- Post added 09-07-2015 at 17:42 ---------- Was there already a warrant out for the man's arrest for previous offences ? harvey19
And all this would be based on what? Not being privy to the full facts and trying to be objective. ---------- Post added 09-07-2015 at 17:50 ---------- No............................... But you do not know. cassity
Not being privy to the full facts and trying to be objective. Yet..."Why did the police say, that as a result of this incident, they need to reconsider how they train officers?" If he was any or all of what you suggested the police statement would have been totally different. But you do not know. Yet you threw a load of nonsense into the mix...wouldn't be a 'Black' thing per chance?
