Hand made shoes - how do I get some?

I am wanting to have a bespoke pair of shoes made and would like, if possible, to have them made locally (sheffield/south yorks). Do such companies exist and if so who are they?

 

Have you ever had a pair of shoes made locally or will I have to take my business to London or Northampton?

 

Any ideas?

I think it is called Peters and there is a branch in Sheffield just below the old Star building.

There is an high class shoe shop at Broomhill also.

I don't think either make shoes but sell good quality ones.

** Yes. I recall reading about it- perhaps it's on Fulwood Road in the 200s?- and it does (did?) actually make the shoes.

I bought a pair of their motorcycle/hiking boots only £100 use them all the time never let me down yet.

 

Squaddies get sent there for their boots if the issue ones wont work for them, I don't know who picks up the tab though.
