New to Sheffield - where to socialise?

Oh, I have nothing to do with the dance classes (at least the salsa ones).

 

Basically there is teacher, and he shows everybodyhow to follow the basic rhythm and do some moves. You keep changing the person you are dancing with... It obviously requires a degree of extroversion and being able to laugh at yourself, but there are beginners trying it all the time. (I am trying to convince my friends in fact now that I live in the area, i have not done salsa before)

Hi again everyone,

 

So my time up here is drawing to a close and I just wanted to say - it's been great! I have had a few great nights at the local bars and pubs. Staff and people are very friendly. In particular I would like to thank the staff of the Frog and Parrot for a fantastic Wednesday doing the quiz last week!

 

So for the remainder of my time here It's going to be as follows (if anyone is out on these nights do come over and say hi!)

 

Tuesday: The Common Room - me and a small group of people from Uni are going to play a few racks of pool. We'd be up for playing against individuals or teams of all abilities!

 

Wednesday - The Frog and Parrot - as with last week I'm definitely doing the quiz, there may be some people accompanying me but hey I could do with team members!

 

Thursday - Undecided - I'll likely go to the Forum as it's close or maybe the Cavendish. Totally up for suggestions on this night and if anyone has plans that could include then let me know!

 

Friday - Undecided - My last day here! (No!) I'd be very up for going "out" out on Friday but again this largely depends on what's going on in and around the West St area - West st live seems quite lively on the weekends, is it worth a look?

 

 

But yeah, to summarise cheers to everyone I've met so far for being so welcoming!
