Randomseller
Can anyone recommend a relatively locally based specialist who can advise about the restoration and preservation of old paper deeds, their framing for display or safe storage, and execute the actual work economically? tzijlstra
I would pop into either the Central Library or Western Bank Library (University library next to the Arts Tower) to ask there. This is a very specialist job. I can give you the name of someone in the Netherlands but I am sure that won't help. Before you do anything you will need to assess whether the documents and deeds are in fact worth spending a lot of money on.

I agree, most property deeds are now online anyway, so the physical versions are less required. If it's purely for display purposes then the documents in their original state might be quite interesting to display as well.
Jeffrey Shaw
I agree, most property deeds are now online anyway, so the physical versions are less required.. But not all. Even if title is registered, certain deeds are still needed- e.g. the lease (for leasehold property).
