Channel tunnel problems! caused by the illegal migrants.

In some recent news film/photos of the recent incidents at the tunnel, I thought some faces looked out of place.

Now I read that the French police believe that members of anarchist groups (including some Brits) are in the camps and stirring up some of these mass "infiltrations".

Wouldn't surprise me in the least, with so many vested interests out to capitalise on this issue, so much about illegals as about the UK-EU interrelationship and all manner of further political agendas.

 

Variously, the ins-and-outs of the current Calais problems are:

• Eurotunnel which sold the 2 ferries despite the profitable hard graft of the operator employees (them who are now striking);
  
• the French socialist government which will certainly not bash or override the strikers, especially given the above, and has a vested interest in undermining Cameron's demands upon the EU (this crisis bringing ideal ad hoc leverage for a while);
  
• the ensuing engorgement of the Chunnel with all the traffic that would otherwise be ferried through Calais;
  
• which leads to significantly more artics immobilised for longer periods of time on each side of the Channel, problematic in France as it broadens the window of opportunity for illegals to try and board artics, problematic in the UK as the logistical 'train' of returning artics is backing up ever more in Kent;
  
• compounded by summer vacation traffic on each side of the Channel
  
• compounded by rapidly increasing number of Med migrants, with correspondingly more of them making their way through the Schengen space after landing on the Greek or Italian mainland;
  
• compounded by worsening socio-economic contexts in most of the countries from which such migrants arrive;
  
• compounded by the EU and all its Member States (including the UK, but to an extent excluding Hungary as it has now put fences back up) sitting on their thumb about it all.

 

That's one Rubik Cube I'm glad I'm not in charge of solving. Correspondingly, that's one puzzle with no easy or fast solution.

I wondered how long it would take. When you cannot make a reasonable argument, play the race card.

This thread is about the trouble at Calais and the Eurotrain tunnel.

In case you missed earlier posts. Drivers have been threatened with guns and knives. One driver opened the back of his lorry and was chased by a group of people who had got inside,others have had stones and concrete blocks thrown at the lorries to make them stop. These so called Migrants/Immigrants are terrifying people who are using the port legally. This is terrorism.

Immigrants do not terrorise people, these are Terrorists.

Whether immigrants overall make a positive contribution is neither here nor there, Most immigrants do not attack people going about their legitimate business. The People trying to get in by terrorist means will not be able to legally work here so they will not contribute. Many immigrants come by legal means and have the right to work here or obtain a work permit. They contribute in a positive way to our society and pay their dues to maintain services. Where do you think these terrorists will be heading to hide out. do you think they will pay Council Tax to maintain our local services or National Insurance to help with National Health Service costs or Income Tax to help support Those who are unable to support themselves. Fat chance. They have already shown their attitude to an ordered society.

I was in a London hotel in March. There were no Doctors, Paramedics, Nurses, Radiologists or even trained medical secretaries and receptionists or even trained medical porters needed.
