L00b
Woo hoo - it's just gone straight through it's 6th test I am so happy with that car, it's 15 years old.And only 6 tests? Would anyone prioritise looks over reliablity?I used to, with Imprezas, what with a 'face' only a Mum (or some few odd ones like me) could love Thankfully, reliability came best-in-class as standard. jaffa1
i had a brand new renault in 2011. i trade it in in 2013 as the car sounds like it was fallen apart. will bits coming off. i suppose if you always had rubblish. you wouldnt know what quality is. Paying a lot of money for a car doesn't necessarily mean it is in good condition. I've just sold one for just under 1,000 , just passed it's M.O.T and in good condition, only 1 owner and done less than 23,000 mls. The man got a bargain, keep searching but don't go to the second hand dealers.
denlin
And only 6 tests? We bought it second hand LOL. We've had it 6 years
Cyclone
Some people do. The car, house, school you go to means everything to them. ---------- Post added 27-07-2015 at 12:01 ---------- Would anyone prioritise looks over reliablity? Well, maybe TVR owners would. I wouldn't. ---------- Post added 27-07-2015 at 13:11 ---------- I couldnt agree more. The worst investment is always an prestige car that costs a lot to keep on the road. Anyone that thinks that a car is an investment is in for a surprise (unless they're buying very special vehicles).
L00b
And only 6 tests? We bought it second hand LOL. We've had it 6 yearsAh, so it was its 12th test Our MX-5 passed its 14th test last month. Flying colours, no advisory, compliments of the tester. Like the 13th last year. And the 12th the year before that. And the 12th the year before that. And... Contrary to the OP, it takes a certain amount of money (aggregate) to keep a car in that condition after so many years of use (and abuse ).
