The Joker
Cilla Black said she wanted to die before 75 because she didn't want to be a 'burden' Cilla Black spoke of wanting to die before the age of 75 so she would not have to endure a painful death like her mother in an interview just a year before she passed away. The late singer and entertainer, who died on Sunday aged 72, described 75 as a “good age to go” in one of her final interviews. Black suffered with arthritis and severe hearing problems and said she felt as though her body was “falling apart”. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/people/cilla-black-said-she-wanted-to-die-before-75-because-she-didnt-want-to-be-a-burden-10434322.html

nanoffive
Cilla recorded the song "Liverpool Lullaby" also known as "Mucky Kid" about a mother's struggle and love for her child. Beautifully sang here, with some nice tributes among the comments. RIP Cilla. I had to smile, I found "Liverpool lullaby" on youtube to show my family, who didn't know the song. It was a recent, sanitised version--'when he hears the things that you did, you'll GET TOLD OFF by your dad'! He's seen reason and stopped belting him, then?
