Binster
We were in Barnstaple on holiday today and they have a Wimpy but no McDonalds. Got me thinking, I remember going to Wimpy in Sheffield as a kid in the 70s and maybe 80s but can't remember where it was and when it closed. Any ideas? Bottom of Pinstone St in between where Damart and H Samuel was. Or, diagonally across from the first McDonald's on the top of the Moor!

nikki-red
Was there one near the old markets too? Opposite where Wilkinsons etc is now? I seem to remember my cousin working there when I was quite young.

TFishcake
There was one opposite British home stores on hay market Burger King bought most of the wimpy out I think early 90s late 80s, it took them a couple of years to convert to Burger King. my wife started at Wimpy late 80s and carried on with Burger King into the noughties.
