El Cid
I wake up, quite often, with pins and needles in my arms and hand. I dont recall it happening years ago, but I have noticed it on a regular basis over the past month or so. I have not had a new bed or anything, this morning I woke up with pins and needles from lying on one side, I slept on my back, and still awoke again with pins and needles. It goes off quite quickly, but it seems to be happening more often,. Us guys dont go to the doctors very often, but should I?
geared
Sounds like a trapped nerve somewhere, maybe in your neck or upper back/shoulder region. Try getting some new pillows in to better support your neck.

El Cid
Thanks, I will see how it is over the next few days. I do have, what I believe to be healthy, low blood pressure. which is what I was thinking of. Others have said pillows, tension and anxiety. tinfoilhat
Possibly just laying on your arms? I do it sometimes after i have been really tired or had a drink. I've had that and made a conscious effort not to sleep on my arm (different pillows helped I think). Could be carpel tunnel syndrome as well.
