(and there are a few things that take money even then like the café) You have to pay beforehand for all the stuff you need - most people cannot bring sufficient water that needs paying for when it arrives etc, etc. As someone said some people have more to barter with than others. Those that can fix things, or happen to be rather good looking tend to do better than others shall we say It is a rather good event, but I don't think you are going to get it off the ground in the UK quickly - start it like the US did as a small frends gathering of a couple of dozen like minded folk and grow it and the ethos from there...
