yellowperil
Al Wilson-The Snake A cautionary tale about being too nice for your own good. Written in 1963 so shows the concept is nothing new, you would have thought people would learn from past mistakes though. The people who cant see the potential danger in this situation are bleeding heart fools,it wont only be them that "the snake" bites though. johncocker
http://news360.com/article/311820821# all a bit predictable sadly. We've allowed ISIS into Europe - good going bleeding heart fools Letting them in was foolish - all it did was encourage more to come. How on earth did Merkel think the ‘refugees’ would be fed and housed with no trouble for police or the locals? Reality bites and overcomes the dream. Wait for a surge of militant ‘refugees’ demanding their rights. It’s like a kid putting a party on facebook and then wondering why the street is packed with aggresive youths 5 mins later. yellowperil
Letting your idealist sensibilities overtake your rational reasoning, thats whats bitten them. The assumption that "we are all the same" is a pretty shortsighted one. Were all from different cultures in the world, with different values and views on what is acceptable and what is not. You can never assume that just because someone looks like you that they are going to act like you and have the same moral code or ethics. This is where the "new world order" brigade have dropped the ball. Germany acted in haste and will now repent at leasure, lets hope we as a nation dont make the same knee jerk mistake. Berberis
A bit like this pic that was doing the rounds but was later proven to be of a guy who was actually fighting Isis= http://i100.independent.co.uk/article/no-this-refugee-is-not-a-terrorist-for-isis--ZkHvS_d6Hl Anyone flying an Isis flag and claiming to be a refugee must be an idiot, the date of the pic you posted can't be verified and could be from a past demo. People like you are the ones being fooled........ Instead of looking for any reason to disregard, shouldn't you at the very least denounce any support for ISIS within the EU or anywhere else. Eric Arthur
Anyone flying an Isis flag and claiming to be a refugee must be an idiot We keep being told that these people aren't idiots. Nobody can say that some of them aren't terrorists because they aren't flying an IS flag. It is very possible that lots of IS terrorists are with the migrants. Berberis
It's just been reported that Germany is closing its open border with Austria and suspending Schengen. http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/43924584-5a33-11e5-a28b-50226830d644.html Denmark closed its rail links (to stop the influx of immigrants) from Germany days before and now Germany closes its boarders stating "Refugees cant pick and choose where they go". Seems like Merkels open doors policy has already backfired. Even before this crisis Germans were uneasy with the levels of immigration into their country. Its odd how as soon as this started we were told the German population is happy to accept hundreds of thousands more immigrants. I suspect the information was selective and the German population is not so happy with the situation. Merkel will be booted out of office as soon as there is an election in Germany. She seems to be contradicting herself also, having stated in 2010 that multicultural society in Germany had "utterly failed", going on to say "The concept that we are now living side by side and are happy about it does not work". She also said "we feel attached to the Christian concept of mankind, that is what defines us. Anyone who doesn't accept that is in the wrong place here.". L00b
It's just been reported that Germany is closing its open border with Austria and suspending Schengen. http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/43924584-5a33-11e5-a28b-50226830d644.html Entirely predictable outcome; indeed on 27 August: This argument keeps being over-simplified in such debates, hand-in-hand with the current other debate about non-EU immigrants flooding into the EU: the fundamental principle is free movement of EU nationals throughout the EU, not 'free movement without checking entitlement to travel at borders' à la Schengen (which is an implementation (-too far) of the principle, not the principle itself). After Germany's unilateral suspension of the Dublin Agreement earlier this week, and as matters are only getting worse in Greece, Hungary and Macedonia, Schengen hasn't got long to live, mark my words. When that particular edifice falls, Cameron will likely get his shoe in the door about measures impeding free movement itself. He's getting a lot of political manna across the EU on the back of Merkel's nonsensical handling of the non-EU immigration crisis, at the moment. About time to go get the popcorn ready, methinks There's a few tens of thousands (if not more) of trans-border workers who are going to find their daily commute interesting in the days and weeks to come Edited September 14, 2015 by L00b
