Berberis
Could this be true? Is this how Muslims treat others seeking aid? Seems relevant (if true) with the whole why doesn't Saudi etc do more to help. Gomass
Is that what I asked? Just to debase your pointlessness there, over half the population of Syria is considered to be refugee at the moment, the vast majority of those that made it out are in Turkey, Jordan, Lebanon and Iraq. Which all happen to be muslim neighbour states. That's incorrect, only 3 million have fled Syria and 23 million Syrians still live in Syria. They aren't immigrants, they are asylum seekers because they are on the run. Significant difference. What you choose to call them isn't important, every Syrian I have seen interviewed on TV want to get where they are going for economic reasons and not because they are in danger. It is nothing to do with the fact that the danger and physical impact of the journey stops elderly and children coming across? Or the rule whereby once these young men are naturalised they can bring their family over anyway, so why drag them along in the first place? Actually there is. Because according you they running form war and fear of death, your point only stands if in fact they are economic migrants and there was no immediate danger which forced them to leave. tzijlstra
That's incorrect, only 3 million have fled Syria and 23 million Syrians still live in Syria. "Only 3 million" that is three times the size of Sheffield with Rotherham and Chesterfield thrown in for good measure. Not to mention the 6,5 million that are displaced but still in Syria. Also, ever tried counting people? You know how they know they are on the move? Because their houses have been flattened. What you choose to call them isn't important, every Syrian I have seen interviewed on TV want to get where they are going for economic reasons and not because they are in danger. Re. the italic: What a load of nonsense. Re. what they are called, of course it is relevant, it decides why people are trying to get here. The fact that you think Syrians are NOT in danger just goes to show what sort of apologist you are. Because according you they running form war and fear of death, your point only stands if in fact they are economic migrants and there was no immediate danger which forced them to leave. Open your eyes, it might help you see what danger is. ---------- Post added 02-09-2015 at 08:15 ---------- this needs a thread on its own I wonder if halibut/mafya will be starting it Such a reliable source. Syria is larger than England by 60,000 km² with a population less than half England's population, so they have significantly more land in which to relocate their own people. Back to why are there very few women and children and why don't they move to the safe areas of Syria? Wanting to get here makes them economic migrants. Please explain to us then... what danger is a Syrian in when once they are in France, Hungry, Italy, Turkey or Greece? Why would they need asylum in the UK any more than anyone else living in those countries?
Berberis
What is the reason why the refugees from Syria do not stop in any of the following "safe" countries on route to the UK?
