Jonny5
Not bothered how many refugees we take. The important thing is to try and stem the flow of people making the perilous and chaotic journeys that people are currently undertaking. Ultimately though the solution is getting the broken countries that they are coming from fixed so that future generations don't end up exiled. We probably could take 250k from Syria but its a ridiculous idea. It sets a precedent for waving a white flag and saying "well countries fail what can you do?" There has to be a better way. iansheff
They should go to the areas that want them because sending them to areas that don't want them will caused more conflict. Can't see how because once they are registered then they would be able to move freely throughout Europe wouldn't they?

Harrystottle
In 2012 a man called Peter Sutherland said that the EU should "do its best to undermine" the "homogeneity" of its member states. How do we think the EU is doing in that regard? I'd say pretty well. Peter Sutherland, by the way, is the UN's special representative for migration, a Goldman Sachs banker and a member of the Bilderberg group. What a guy! ---------- Post added 04-09-2015 at 21:00 ---------- With the depth of political knowledge and understanding such as you have displayed here I'm surprised you're not already holding high office...in your own room in the asylum. Harleyman
I think that our long legacy of interference in that region of the world has resulted in us now reaping the whirlwind of the seeds we sowed
RonJeremy
We should have left the dictators of those countries in place. They knew how to keep the Muslims (cant remember if this is the right spelling) from murdering each other. they kept them contained and killed far fewer than they do killing each other. Trouble is, we need the oil to continue to function as we do.
