Its an investment, not charity. You think they need army bases in lots of the countries they 'help'? No mate, its what an empire does. They have a military presence is as many paces as they can. Not literally a wall around ALL the shore line, just in appropriate places; but thorough, 24 hour, 365 days a year gun boat patrols, yeah sure, For the sake of our safety and resources. No they don't need bases in most of those countries, but most of the countries that have them want them. Why pay for defense when America can defend you. cuttsie Posted August 10, 2015 Share Posted August 10, 2015 The EU isn't big enough to accommodate everyone in the world that doesn't have freedom, enough food, enough water, safety, or wants a better life. They are risking their lives trying to get it here when they should be risking their lives trying to make their own countries better, I would rather us send resources and help to the people they left behind and ship them back to the other side of the med. Perhaps Australia,Russia , Canada who have thousands of miles of virgin land and space could open up their borders to these unfortunate people . They need help now.
