TORONTONY Posted August 12, 2015 Share Posted August 12, 2015 In 1973 or 4, I worked on a project at Frickley Colliery on number two shaft. I was sub -contracting to Camm construction who were replacing the slated roof with a steel platform as an escape for miners, if the cage overwound. I did all the steelwork on site, including, ,measuring, fit up, drilling, welding and erection with one other guy. Wondering if anyone was involved in similar projects or was that a one off, I quit self employment soon after that project and never really kept tabs on that kind of work.
